Based in Rio de Janeiro, the Instituto de Língua e Cultura Brasileira is a privately owned organization. Our mission is to promote Brazilian culture around the world through the teaching of Portuguese as a foreign language.
Using the best distance learning tools in the market, and teaching the best foreign language pedagogical methods, ILC Brasil offers the best Brazilian Portuguese learning experience to students wanting to learn or improve their ability to communicate in the language.
At ILC Brasil, we work so the Institute will be internationally recognized as the main reference in Brazilian Portuguese teaching. Such recognition should come, not only from the quality of our methods and practices, but also, from our continuing efforts to create, and to work with, the best practices of foreign language teaching.
As a result we will have high satisfaction levels among our students. This will be the main factor of our organization's long term success.
We will also be recognized for our commitment to management excellence. ILC Brasil will become one of the best places to work in the industry. Our team will be proud of beaing part of an organization that adds value to the life of each "stakeholder" and to our community.
Passion and Respect for Brazil, our people and our culture
This is the main “raison d’être” of the Instituto de Língua e Cultura Brasileira.
Commitment to Excellence
Either academically, or technologically, the Institute’s team believes there is always a better way to do what we already do well. We are always looking for tools and techniques that will help us fulfill our mission as educators and to help us achieve the vision we have for the Institute.
We believe no educational institution can reach its true potential without a team that actively shares the knowledge it produces and works with. At ILC Brasil, each team member has the responsibility to work towards our vision. For that reason, we actively and constantly share our best practices among our team. Moreover, as a team, we respect the difference of opinions and the decisions taken collectively as a group.
Respect for our differences
If we want to showcase the richness of our culture to the world, we must first respect the richness of our human and cultural diversity. At ILC Brasil we respect, value, and welcom collaborators regrdeless of their gender, faith, race, age or sexual orientation. The only common denominator we look for in our collaborators is the commitment to our organizational values and to the objectives we set for the Institute.
